On the 26 November join AAA Partner Inhouse Group3 at the Austral Brickworks Design Studio for a free event ‘Futureproofing Your Interiors: How to create sustainable interiors in today’s throwway society’, presented by Kate St James, Editor in Chief - Grand Design Magazine Australia and former President of the Australian Architecture Association.
Every building has an impact on the environment. In fact, buildings use 40% of the world’s energy, emit 40% of the world’s carbon footprint, and use 20% of the world’s available drinking water.
Through this talk you’ll better understand how we can make building interiors more healthy, environmentally friendly, energy and waste efficient. You will learn about lifecycle analysis, product stewardship and why NABERS, GECA, Green Tag and other certification standards are becoming increasingly relevant to modern interior designers and why choosing low-impact materials, energy efficient, long-lasting and recyclable products make good design sense.
Location: Austral Brickworks Design Studio - 50 Carrington Street Sydney
Time: 5.30pm - 8.30pm
Date: Thursday 26 November 2015
