Architours - March Walking Tour In Melbourne

Melbourne Architours are AAA partners who share a passion for helping people to understand and appreciate architecture and design.

Architours have a great program of walks for 2015.

This month you can enjoy a tour that explores Modernist through to contemporary architecture in the west of the city.

Covering the impact of engineering solutions to tower forms on the city skyline, see how a post-war spirit of progress was played out through large scale urban interventions during the 1950s-1980s, and the resultant heritage implications we see today. Several yet-to-be-built schemes, will also be presented on the day, inviting a critique of the city's changing nature.

Tour Details: CBD Modernism to Contemporary Tour (West)
Time: 10.00am
Date: Saturday 21 March 2015

Melbourne Architours is a group of local Melburnians who work, live and breathe architecture and design. Keen to share their knowledge and generate discussion about the built environment, they invite you on a tour to learn about Melbourne's evolution through its building fabric. Join Architours on their CBD or inner urban tours. A great social outing, its not unusual for tour participants to continue the conversation afterwards over a caffeine pitstop or beer at the bar to dissect the good and the bad about the city and its architecture.

Places on Melbourne Architour's events are limited, book early to avoid disappointment!
