Newcastle Open House 2012 is a single day architectural tour of eight intriguing contemporary architect designed residences around Cooks Hill, Merewether and the Junction. This event is run by the Newcastle Division of the Australian Architecture Association and is open to the public, the architectural profession and students.
The tour, on Sunday 11 November, includes houses designed by Bourne + Blue, Brian Suters, hrmphrdt, Chris Tucker of Herd, Chris McBriarty of Suters Architects, Philip Pollard of Amenity and Tzannes Associates. The architects will be present for the tour which aims to provide an insight into the issues and features of contemporary house design, while also facilitating architectural discourse within the community.
The Lock Up Cultural Centre will host an optional long white table lunch catered by John Clune.
Tour registration is 9am, Sunday 11 November 2012 at the Centennial Park Pavilion, opposite 134 Bruce Street, Newcastle.
